The practice of studying the Bible for yourself and learning to apply it to your life is one of the most fruitful disciplines you can have as a Christian. Precept Bible Studies are a great way to get more of the Word of God into your heart!
Precept Bible Studies are INDUCTIVE. What does that mean? It simply means that you come to the text and study it on its own terms. You let the truth of scripture rise to the top rather than bringing your own truth and looking for passages to support it. It is methodical. You discover key terms and phrases, structural markers, make observations and connections, and follow the flow of the story or argument.
Someone once said, "rake the ground, and you'll get leaves, but start digging and you might find gold!" This is the blessing of inductive study . . . discovering the truth of scripture for yourself, truth which is more precious than gold.
This study takes place in a small group setting periodically on Tuesday nights at Grace Bible Church, from 6:15pm to 9:15pm.
